Rescue started with helping cats where I found them, and it grew into something more deliberate: protocols, foster networks, medical support, and the round-the-clock care that neonatal kittens need to survive their first weeks.
Tabby's Tiny Tabbies Tabby's Tiny Tabbies is a Houston-based, volunteer-run rescue with a particular focus on neonatal kittens requiring intensive care. Founded in 2023 and built on more than 25 years of personal fostering experience.
Neonatal work is unglamorous and specific. Bottle feeds every two hours. Weight charts. Warmth before food. Knowing when something is wrong before it looks wrong. Most of the work is systems, and the systems are what make the outcomes repeatable.
I also work with Traps to Laps, a shelter diversion coalition partnering with local rescues on fostering and adoption placement.
